Blueskin Bay for the Day

By Otago Boys High School Year 12 Biology Classes

Blueskin bay is located in Warrington. Dunedin and is one of the most important parts of Dunedin, as it is an Estuary. We took a Biology trip to this location to learn and explore about how the Estuary system works and how species adapt to their climates, specifically Cockles and other specicies. During our investigation we found a variety of life which helped us understand how an Estuary works.

Great to hear you understand more about how estuaries work... very important ecosystems. Check out DoC's estuary hub if you want to learn more about what you can do to protect them - https://www.doc.govt.nz/nature/habitats/estuaries/our-estuaries/
